Overview

The Iowa League of RC&Ds links individual RC&D Councils, informs the public about RC&D activities, advocates for public policy positions related to resource conservation development issues and provides services to member councils.

Involvement with Green & Main

The Iowa League of RC&Ds obtained funding from the Iowa Legislature for the program Natural Resource Based Opportunity Grants. These funds enabled Iowa Heartland RC&D to provide financial assistance to the Green & Main Pilot Project. The Iowa League also provided the opportunity for Green & Main to present educational information about the project at the Iowa League of RC&D’s semi-annual meeting held in September of 2009.
